Hello friends,

to be honest I’ve never been that much into books. I know it’s a shame, but nevertheless there are a lot of them in my bookshelf. This picture only shows some and of course they are all about drums and music.

They mostly helped me to understand. To get why Jazz music in the 50ies sounded different than in the golden 20ies, to know what “Free Jazz” really means and to hear it being played in Europe as well as in the States.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t have the intention to play Free Jazz, it is just very important for me as an authentic musician to know a lot about the history of music.

Anyway, I’m not a smart ass, but please PAY YOUR DUES!
